This month, Elaine looks back at some of the books that shaped her childhood, and presents her book of the month in her "Reading Corner". We are also joined once again by Momo Miyaguch, vocal and body expression coach and performing artist. This month, Momo explores the seasonal transition to February through cultural traditions and embodied practice, drawing inspiration from Celtic, French, Japanese and Chinese seasonal rituals. She shares a gentle movement for the spine to close out the Year of the Snake before the Chinese New Year on 17 February. The sequence ends with a traditional Japanese children's song associated with the Setsubun ritual, used to symbolically chase away negative energies and welcome happiness at the beginning of February. Finally, Simon will revisit the songwriting process and what it's like to try to write a love song when there are already so many great songs out there. Do we really need to write more?
