Hello and welcome to the first Spotlight on Brittany for 2026, and the first in our new format. We’re moving away from our roving reporter interviews of the past few years, and onto more of a magazine type of programme.
There’ll be regular features from our main contributors. Elaine will bring us “Book Corner”, reading a passage from one of her favourite books, or perhaps one that she’s just stumbled across, and hopefully this will develop into a sort of “book club” type of feature, where you can join her in reading the next months book ahead of the programme and compare notes!
Michelle is busy cooking up a feature and hopefully we’ll hear more about that next month. And I’ll be bringing a regular feature called “ the Story of the Song” - more about that at the end of the programme.
And we’re joined by performance artist and voice and movement coach Momo Miyaguchi , who will be experimenting with what she can do in the radio format to present a guided movement class - getting people to feel and move their bodies and be more present with their physicality - to become more centred. More on that from Momo later in the programme. Anyway it’s all new and very shiny! So let’s kick of with Elaine’s Book Corner. This month reading from "The Lacuna" by Barbara Kingsolver.
