Spotlight on Brittany - December 2025

Hello and welcome to Spotlight on Brittany! This month’s programme, our last for the year, has been compiled by the Premier Class students at College Saint Charles in St Brieuc. For at least 13 years Elaine has been working with teacher of English, Rozenn Herrouet, on projects that enable the students to gain confidence in Spoken English, develop their vocabulary and enhance their pronunciation. To this end we have used many of the projects in our broadcasts throughout the years.

Elaine headed back to St Charles yet again to meet this year’s Premier Class and to introduce the project, which entailed taking two Fairy Tale characters from different stories and checking, through a dialogue, whether they did ‘live happily ever after’ or was there a ‘twist in the tale’?

So, time now to hear from Juliette, Arthur, Eloi, Tristan, Jean-Edern,Foucauld, Lya, Agathe, Angele, Remus, Aymar and (Uncle Tomas Cobbley and all!) whose conversations feature Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ogres, Daenerys Targaryen- Breton of course and even Homer, amongst others!
