Welcome to October's edition of SPOTLIGHT ON BRITTANY. This month is a musical month! We've been out and about to meet music makers of all kinds, leaving aside traditional Breton music to explore the huge range of other sorts of sound. Some people claim that Brittany has more musicians per square kilometre than anywhere else in France. Whether it's true or not, it's certainly a fact that music is everywhere here. Jazz, blues, rock and roll, world music, classical: all are celebrated during festivals and concerts in our region. For this programme, we've had to be very selective; if we were to include every type of music which can be heard in Brittany, we would have a show that would last for hours!
